Get moving, stay healthy.

These sessions give your child an active, sociable and exciting start to the day, packed with games, sports and activities.

Our friendly coaches are trained to make sure that your child will leave the session feeling awake, invigorated and ready for the day ahead. In fact, research has shown that children who get active before school begins are more focused and productive during lessons – so everybody wins!

After school clubs that focus on sport are a great way to ensure children are staying active. It can be all to easy to slip into the habit of crashing on the sofa once home from school, but by including one or two clubs into your child’s week, they will undoubtedly benefit from a positive impact on their physical and mental wellbeing.

New experiences and skills

The school curriculum can only cover so much. School clubs are a great opportunity for your child to learn something new and develop skills that will be useful throughout their life. For example, they will learn and develop skills around teamwork, cooperation, competition and self-esteem.

School clubs also introduce children to a wide range of sports and kids activities that often become a lifelong hobby. Find a school near you today!

FAQs – Breakfast & After-School Clubs

Breakfast Clubs & After-School Clubs FAQs

When do school clubs take place?

The clubs we offer take place either before school, during lunchbreak or as an after school club.

What do children do in an after-school club?

This totally depends on which sport or activity has been chosen. Primary school clubs are generally an hour long and will involve some fun warm-up exercises to get everybody moving followed by high-quality, inclusive coaching in the particular activity chosen. We make sure all children are involved and feel comfortable and confident in whatever they are participating in.

What is an example of an after-school club?

An after school club takes place at the end of the school day and can be chosen depending on what your child is interested in. From music to drama, football to dance, and even STEM activities and languages, schools usually try to offer a wide range of clubs to appeal to all pupils.

Does an after school club count as childcare?

An after school club, or extracurricular club isn’t the same as wraparound childcare. An after school club is a specific activity-based club children attend on a weekly basis, whereas wraparound care is a form of school childcare where children are dropped off at school early and collected late, in order to support working parents.

Can I claim childcare costs for after school clubs?

Yes, it’s usually possible to use Tax Free Childcare to pay for after school clubs, holiday clubs or out of school activities. However, check with the provider as they need to be Ofsted registered.

Are after school clubs a good idea?

School clubs are a great way of offering an enriched programme of sports or events within a child’s school. Parents appreciate being able to get their kids involved in a variety of activities and further development and learning opportunities, and children enjoy the social side of being with peers outside of the formal classroom environment.

What happens at a school breakfast club?

We offer both breakfast clubs as part of wraparound care and also before-school clubs which are focused on a specific sport or activity. Focused before school clubs will be run by one of our experienced coaches and are aimed at getting children active, having fun and getting ready for the day ahead.
